We help serve and host our guests from the time they arrive in the parking lot to the time they get in their cars to leave. We strive to anticipate the people’s needs, and answer questions before they are asked to help each guest feel comfortable enough to experience God’s presence. There are four FIT opportunities listed below:
This team is the first impression that others have of The Church at Knoxville. Host have the opportunity to make the largest impact with the smallest action — a smile. This team generates an atmosphere of caring by warmly welcoming each person and providing assistance as needed. You will be helping others feel comfortable and relaxed by creating a friendly, non-threatening environment as they enter the building.
We help guests and members find specific parking that is best for them. They are able to direct our guests to guest parking and create a friendly welcome as the people drive onto the property. They are also able to help direct traffic flow to make the parking lot efficient in between services.
This team prepares people for a positive distraction free worship experience by welcoming guests and members, as well as assisting with seating, communion.
This energetic team prepares and serves coffee while greeting and welcoming guests and members to The Church.
This team leads the church in worship during all services through vocal and instrumental worship. Use your musical abilities and talents to lead people into a dynamic worship experience with God, as well as your creativity to set an atmosphere where individuals are free to worship unrestrained.
This team uses their skills in the areas of ProPresenter, sound, lighting and cameras to connect people to the gospel in relevant ways.
This is a team that puts together the creative elements of Sunday services, events, and sermon series. We work on ideas, graphics, videography, editing and photography. We strive to stay relevant and fresh as we set the culture for individuals to connect to the Gospel in a real and powerful way.
This team plans and implements special events at The Church, from setting up and hosting at our monthly events to serving during ministry events throughout the year.
This is a team of people that share the love of Christ outwardly in our community, our city, and our world. the Reach Team and leadership strategize, plan and implement outreach initiatives and events weekly, monthly, and throughout the year.
This team ministers to children ages 6 weeks – 1st Grade. We have a passion for kids and teaching through creative Bible lessons, energetic worship, prayer, crafts and games.
This team is a place where each and every week children 2nd – 5th grade have fun and learn about Jesus. We get to invest in the lives of children by serving in a ministry that is both energetic and effective through worship, prayer, connect groups, and fun!
Generation United is our student ministry for students 6th grade through 12th grade. We are committed to bringing a relevant message and creating a culture of freedom and honor. We do this through connecting with students, and, more importantly, creating an opportunity for them to connect with God relationally.
The connect group leader handles the pastoral care functions of a small group of people. It is an opportunity to provide prayer, worship, Bible study, and other needs for the members of your group.
This is an organized team of prayer partners who pray during each of our weekend services. They pray for the pastor, the worship team, and people in the service. Our goal is to build the Kingdom of God.
